This innovation led to the creation of The Ippy Dippy, a platform designed to empower educators by turning everyday learning—such as listening to podcasts, watching educational videos, and reading articles—into certified professional development hours. Seamus has extensive experience facilitating professional development for educators, having spent years leading Local Professional Development Committees (LPDCs) and supporting teachers in their growth. As a designated signer for licensure renewal, he has firsthand knowledge of the challenges teachers face in maintaining their credentials. This role has fueled his passion for streamlining the professional development process and ensuring that teachers receive recognition for the learning they do outside of traditional workshops and conferences. Jessica Mason, MD, is an emergency medicine physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her career focus is procedural teaching and integration of clinical media in educational curricula. She earned her medical degree at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and completed emergency medicine residency training at MetroHealth Medical Center and The Cleveland Clinic. She completed a fellowship in Medical Education at UCSF Fresno, where she then served as the fellowship’s program director. Dr. Mason oversees multiple programs for the Department of Emergency Medicine: Reviews and Perspectives (EM:RAP), including procedure video production and the Comprehensive Core Curriculum (C3) podcast.
